The 40th National Balloon Fox Hunt on September 9, 2018Almost every radio interested person has heard of the Balloon Fox Hunt. In its 39-year existence, many radioamateurs and other direction finders (fox hunters) have participated in this famous event. This year the balloon fox hunt takes place again for the 40th time. This event is probabely the only time of the year I am on UHF/VHF participating and listening and transmitting.

Hallo Bas, als het goed is heb jij je V2000 antenne nog staan dus bestaat de mogelijkheid dat wij elkaar treffen via de repeater van de ballon. Dat zou leuk zijn.
Vorige jaren kon jij mij ook ontvangen dus hoop ik dat dit jaar een QSO lukt. 73 Hans, PE1BVQ
Ik hoop het Hans, moet de repeater het wel doen en niet defect zijn zoals afgelopen jaar. De V2000 staat op 16m hoog. Dus in theorie moet ik de ballon eerder kunnen ontvangen....73, Bas
