I switched on the radio only for a short period today. A few forgotten lose cables connected and tied. I protected the ladderline to the loop with a towel to prevent it from isolation damage as it is moving close to the roof in the wind. Noted the tuner settings for the 80,40,20,15 and 10 band. Then I noticed K1GUP on 15m in a pile-up with Europe. He was 5/7 and I just tried to call 2 times when he came back for me and reported 5/6. So everything is still working. Because my XYL will give her birthday party this weekend we decided to go for our monthly shopping including birthday shopping. When we came home this evening I was just busy to take all the goods out of the car when te lights in the garage went off. Short-circuit! So switch all light switches off and tried to switch the ciruit breaker on again, still short circuit. Well, I found the problem. One of our cats did pee right at the switch of the 12V antennatuner power supply. Dirty cat, he is still alive...anyway it's still a lovely furry animal...luckely enough I had a spare power supply so no danger for the PACC participation. I did get a few very nice QSL cards via the bureau. The best ones in this fotoshow....

73 paul

Hello Bas,

Laughed when I read about your naughty cat! They are amusing little things these animals aren't they! Great QSL cards by the way and best of luck in the PACC contest. I have a whole host of things to do this weekend so will not take part seriously, but if I can get a few contacts in and send them off I enjoy the taking part. Bye for now, Adam
