I took a look at FT8 6m the other day but no crossing the ocean here. It was all North America for me but I was decoding some signals from Europe. Very nice work Bas 73, Mike VE9KK
I think you need to have a dedicated antenna for 6m at least for making DX across the ocean. I saw my neighbourstation this evening as well struggling to make at least a QSO with USA. So far I didn't see him making any QSO although he obviously did receive them on his vertical. Although I made some DX in the past with my vertical you can't compare it with a 5 element directional antenna. 73, Bas

Delete22/07/2021: I worked my first USA *EVER* on 6m late at night... in CW (of course)... on my 30/40m dipole ;)
ReplyDeleteIn fact I worked 3 in a row. Yay!

That's amazing. 73 Paul
DeleteHallo Bas, echt mooie opening. Ik ben meestal te laat om dat te checken. 73 Paul
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing! I'm not set up for 6M at home right now or I'd have been having a stab at some DX. Need to get my a$$ in gear.
