Succes. 73, BasPE4BAS, Bashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12958141238330445285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3676983452144254088.post-82586126541060393782021-04-20T00:39:01.701+02:002021-04-20T00:39:01.701+02:00Ik heb hier mijn antenne "opgeblazen". 73 PC1MHMarchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14945398655382044640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3676983452144254088.post-21382604219488159982017-12-01T13:19:52.893+01:002017-12-01T13:19:52.893+01:00Tnx for your explanation John, 73, BasTnx for your explanation John, 73, BasPE4BAS, Bashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12958141238330445285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3676983452144254088.post-45377154098168656772017-03-03T09:52:56.732+01:002017-03-03T09:52:56.732+01:00The large diameter of the half wave Antenna tubing...The large diameter of the half wave Antenna tubing gives a lower impedance than a wire. Intussen wacht ik op droog weer om mijn eerste brouwsel van de 5m vertical te gaan uittesten. 73 Hans, PE1BVQHanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13344836980834233549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3676983452144254088.post-45665569455109531472014-12-08T22:39:03.099+01:002014-12-08T22:39:03.099+01:00Hello Razvan, your explanation makes sense. But ho...Hello Razvan, your explanation makes sense. But how do they calculate this kind of transformer. There seems to be a program for it but till now I can't find it. So to make it work you need to keep in mind to use a shorter then resonance radiator. 73, BasPE4BAS, Bashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12958141238330445285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3676983452144254088.post-17813091124741490822014-12-08T08:57:33.157+01:002014-12-08T08:57:33.157+01:00Hello Bas,

That transformer matches 50ohm to about 1000ohm, but the impedance for a resonant endfed is over 3000ohm. I am guessing the vertical element is not really resonant but a bit short, so the impedance is closer to 1000ohm and the reactive part of it's impedance (capacitive, because it's shorter than resonance) cancels out the reactive part of the transformer's (wich is inductive, being a coil - and airwound). Probably the cheapest way to match such an antenna.Razvan M0HZHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03067188142384309848noreply@blogger.com
