My quest to learn CW (35)

Only a minor improvement this month. I'm sure hitting a wall this time. Some days go better as others. I really wish I could go faster, but it is what it is. At least there is some improvement.

Not much improvement on the random letters/numbers as well. Only 5 faults like last month didn't happy again. I guess that was just luck. Most of the times I got about 70-75% right. But I know it will take some months to have a reasonable improvement.

I made some interesting CW DX this month and this was a big motivation for sure. I noticed I like to use the straightkey the most although it is a little slower as the paddle. I prefer my J.H.Bunnell education key and think this will be kept in my shack. You always hear tips about a CW buddy you can practice with. I didn't find one although Rob HA7RJA is showing up often, I can almost call him my CW buddy. Last time we made a QSO on 12m with straightkeys on both sides.

  1. I think you are doing well. My brother read/writes/speaks 5 languages and for him it is easy. Just learning conversational Spanish was very difficult for me. While I can do advanced wood work and he can barely cut a straight line. We all have gifts and we can change out genes. Wendell

    1. Thanks for the nice comment Wendell. Really appreciate it. During learning CW I also started to learn Danish. For some it might be easy, for other it's a long way. I've fun learning though. And yes, I also have other gifts that others can't do. All people are different in many ways. And it is nice we can help each other. 73, Bas
