Bought second hand on internet marketplace. Sold as not scratched and damaged. Well, they were not damaged but certainly scratched. So I gave them a spraypaint job. Several layers later they looked pretty well.
I would never buy these new. If needed (I did not) I would make them myself. But this was a nice opportunity.
I think they look cool. My opinion of course...
Hello Bas - my new (used) KX3 came with handles that are used to support a plexiglass cover. I don't know yet if I like them or not but they are necessary to support the cover that protects the buttons during travel.

@John, did read your blog about the used KX3. It seems to be an excellent CW rig. Personally I like the looks of the handles. And to me it is easier to move the radio if necessary. 73, Bas
ReplyDelete@Mike, it certainly looks nice. I spraypaint it semigloss black about 6 layers at the outside and 3 layers on the inside. I had to do so many layers otherwise you coould still see the scratches. Very satisfied with it for shure. 73, Bas
