I don't know if anyone noticed but over the years I accumulate a lot of amateurradio blogs in my blogroll. Almost 150 at the last count. Some of them are really interesting, some less. Some are updated regulary, some are not. Paul PC4T mentioned lately that he removed blogs from his blogroll that are updated more then half a year ago. I think I will do that as well. Besides that if anyone thinks his or her blog should be in my blogroll just give me a comment. What is a good blog, well that's difficult to tell. Some like this and some like that. My opinion is that a post should always consist of text and a photo or picture if possible, although there are some good written blogs that seldom have pictures in it. Something I like is the more personal touch in a blog. A radioamateur that tells what he or she thinks and feels about some experiences related or not with radio and have opinions about certain topics. Another thing I like is the interaction on comments you make on a blog, it tells you that your comment is really read. Top blogs in my opinion are:
Ham radio Blog PD0AC - Hans writes nice reviews on the new chinese HT's and makes some humoristic posts as well. Lots of pictures and regular updates makes it a interesting blog
G4ILO's Blog - Julian makes interesting posts about everything related to radio, I like his more personal touch. It is not always accompanied by photos or pictures but he writes like you're talking with him in the shack.
PC4T Dutch Radio Amateur - Paul has his blog on and off just as long as me. He also likes to write personal things and thoughts and all the posts are with pictures or video. The best thing though is that Paul always replies on comments. The interaction is the strong thing of his blog I think. Besides that Paul likes to give his blog a new design once and a while so it always looks fresh and new.
N8ZYA QRP Radio Blog - I love this blog. It is written in the same style as of PC4T. It's personal and lots of pictures. Besides that John makes all his QSO with QRP and small antennas most of them inside the house. John also replies on his comments giving you a kind of interaction.
Roger G3XBM Amateur Radio Blog - Roger writes sometimes several updates a day. He's active on sub 9KHz bands and does some simple QRP project designing as well. Besides that the blog has some personal posts as well. Though Roger does seldom reply on comments it is still a very interesting blog.
VE3WDM's QRPower blog - Mike does have a nice personal blog. He is working QRP with antennas inside the house. He also likes to build kits himself and made some nice videos. Mike also replies on most comments that give you that interaction feeling again.
AE5X - John has something to tell. He writes great stories about things happened in WW2 and the cold war and other historical (radio) events that are most times not known by many. Every post is accompanied by pictures. John replies on comments. And very fine written stories are varied with personal posts. Most viewers of this weblog are visitors from John's weblog (thanks John).
ON5ZO - OQ5M - Franki has a weblog that doesn't have much pictures, that's so unfortunate. But still it is a very well written blog. He has really some nice stories and his english is very creative and easy to understand. I wish I could write english like him. I would write english novels for a job!
My take on 63 Degrees of propagation - is the personal weblog from KL8DX Phil from Alaska. Phil writes about the very special propagation you encounter when you live that far north. He's also a contester which is not always easy from that part of the world. Phil does reply on comments as well.
Well, these are the weblogs I like most not in a particulair order. So now and then I really think some of them are really writing very good stories. Of course there are some others that really have good blogs and it could be that I forgot someone that I really like. Sorry for that, no offense meant.
