Northern Radio Rally 2011 (NAT 2011)

The only radio rally that I'm visiting actually, this year it was ast Saturday. Not too big and more important is a eyeball QSO with fellow HAMs. Though most of the traders would of course get some money out of it. Not only were there traders but also some information stands. The first one was from top QRP contester and QSL collector PA1AT, there were some QSL's waiting for me as he is also QSL region manager. As always there are a lot of nice (historic) QSL cards to see. I made a photograph of the original first QSL from the first licensed radio amateur in the Netherlands PA0BZ issued 19-Aug.-1929. I met a lot of fellow radioamateurs, known both from "on air" QSOs and from our local radio club. I even met my old radiofriend Bert which is starring in my video as  the station which I talked to on CB many years ago, he was telling me that he is busy to get his license. I also met another radioamateur and discussed some digital modes getting to the WSPR subject he was telling me that he never heard of it, hard to believe but true. Anyway, I saved some money to buy some interesting radio equipment and so I did.First of all I bought some PL connectors and a plug to connect my deskmike to the yaesu. Most important was the cheap metal box to make the PA1B attenuator, I found a suitable one for 1 euro. Searching for a Imax2000 which I strange enough still cannot find on this radiorally there was something that catched my eye. A beautifull second hand WELZ SP-15M SWR/PWR meter with attached an WELZ AC-38M antennatuner, great for QRP as the meter has 3 choices of power 2,5W, 20W and 200W. Both devices are fully metal and switches and knobs are high quality. I couldn't resist to buy it (probabely give too much for it), I otherwise regret it. I bought some other items as well but will write about that in another article.
